Back in the Winter of 2007, a young Rocko Zevenbergen started making video shorts with his toys to pass the time. He'd upload his films to the up and coming website, YouTube, and would soon find thousands of views piling onto his videos overnight. The excitement this brought set his eyes on the path to film production and it's been movie making ever since. Through highschool Rocko began working with friends on a new project called, "ShadowTurtleInc." The project became a YouTube channel full of zero budget shorts that would be the foundation of Bad Taste Pictures. The shorts started off innocent enough but with time became more violent, gory  and very over the top. Under ShadowTurtleInc. two short films and over one hundred videos were produced exploring different styles of film making and comedy. With more time Rocko found his genre of interest, and after graduating high school, decided to rename ShadowTurtleInc. and focus his work on the genre. Bad Taste Pictures specializes in the "Splatter" genre of horror, which entails gross and bloody imagery, so over the top, it can only be laughed at through clenched teeth. The genre was popularized by films such as The Evil Dead (1981), The Toxic Avenger (1985), and of course Bad Taste (1987). Bad Taste Pictures is headed by Rocko Zevenbergen, who is currently comprising a team of actors and crew members to make the bizarre films of Bad Taste Pictures come to life in the coming years.
